1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of uLearn, a language learning application operated by an individual developer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use uLearn.
2. Eligibility
uLearn is a general-purpose language learning tool. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
3. User Accounts
Accounts are created through OAuth sign-in with Google. Because authentication is tied to your email address, each email address corresponds to one account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your connected Google account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access caused by a compromise of your third-party credentials.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
uLearn offers multiple subscription tiers (free, pro, and premium). Each tier includes different monthly usage limits for AI features, flashcard generation, and other tools. Current limits for each plan are described on the pricing page.
All billing and payment processing is handled exclusively by Lemon Squeezy. uLearn never sees or stores your payment card details. Paid plans renew automatically on a monthly or yearly basis depending on your chosen billing cycle, and Lemon Squeezy will notify you before any renewal.
If your subscription expires or is cancelled, your account is automatically downgraded to the free plan at the end of your current billing period. Your flashcards and data are not deleted — only your access level changes.
5. User Content & Ownership
You retain full ownership of the flashcards, collections, and any other content you create in uLearn. We do not claim any rights over your content.
Content generated by AI features (such as AI-generated flashcard fields or suggestions) is provided for your personal use. You own the output, but we make no guarantees about its accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Always review AI-generated content before relying on it.
By using the service, you grant uLearn a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
6. Acceptable Use & AI Features
uLearn's AI features — including the tutor, assistant, and card generation tools — are designed for language learning purposes. You agree not to use them to generate content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or intended to circumvent the service's intended use.
You may not attempt to extract, reproduce, or reverse-engineer any part of the underlying AI models or system prompts used by uLearn.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete accounts that engage in abusive or fraudulent activity, including attempts to bypass usage limits.
7. Service Modifications
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of uLearn at any time, including changes to subscription plan limits. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
8. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is permanent — all your flashcards, collections, and account data are immediately and irreversibly removed from our systems.
We may also suspend or delete accounts that engage in the prohibited activities described in Section 6. In such cases, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription period.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
uLearn is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
We make no warranty regarding the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content, translations, or suggestions produced by the service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, uLearn and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising out of your use or inability to use the service.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to uLearn in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of uLearn shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
If you are located in the European Union, you retain the right to bring claims before the consumer protection authority in your country of residence.
12. YouTube Video Content
The Video Analysis feature on uLearn embeds videos hosted by YouTube LLC, a subsidiary of Google. By using this feature, you are also subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. uLearn has no control over YouTube's content, availability, or policies, and is not responsible for any third-party content accessible through embedded videos.
Video availability may vary by region or change at any time due to decisions by YouTube or the video's rights holders. uLearn makes no guarantee that any specific video will remain accessible. You agree not to use the Video Analysis feature to circumvent any geographic restrictions or access controls imposed by YouTube or content rights holders.
